I think this is also my last post for 2006. So I had to go out in a big super bang! With super-girl!!! I did this illustration for Convergence magazine. It was for an article about the fan expo in Toronto (comic convention). Basically it talked about people dressing up as there favorite heroes. So for one of them I did super-girl with funky teeth. Hahaha yea I know I’m mean but I had to dramatize it a bit, but other then that i don’t know what you think but i think she looks smoking in my opinion. Well just thought id post it for those very great people who like my work.

This was one of the illustrations I did for a magazine (Convergence magazine). It was for an article about a small town newspaper. From what I read it seemed to have a very homely feel and lots of nosy people. So I tried to incorporate those themes. Using the themes, I looked throw a bunch of 50’s and 60’s stuff. Well cuz I felt it had that kind of look to it. So I grabbed a few styles and colour palates of those times and I cam up with that. I am really happy with this one. I got great responses from them and other people who have seen it. It’s totally something I usually don’t do, and you know what I’m likening the style allot. To tell you the truth I think its one my favorite i did this year. I was thinking I should do a series before I finish my vacation with this kind of style. I was thinking to do a series of post cards. Theme I not sure yet, but I have two ideas so far “hip-hop girls” or “girls vs zombies”. I think it would be cool to do but witch one I have no clue. (Jay scratches head) Any suggestions? I’m leaning towards the girl vs zombies sounds hot! Can you imagine! hahaha Let me know what you come up with.

You know what time it is!! SKETCH-OF-THE-DAY! Yes Yes ladies and gents. Here it is! Well I’ve been trying to do experiment with different styles lately I unno. I been thinking of trying some new kind stuff, I think its cuz of the last Clint. I had I did a bunch of different styles for different articles and I like a few I did. I’ll post a few up.

Well it’s been a long time since I posted up something. Sorry guys and gals. I have no excuse; what can I say, been busy with work and school. Well i got inspired by a good friend to finally keep posting. (she knows who she is) Anyways to compensate all that time lost, I got some good news for the people who watch me carefully and wait for news. The official Jay21 website is finely up and rolling!!! Yes you read it right the long awaited website is up!!! At the bottom there’s a little screen shoot of it. I think it looks a little feminine, but from the people who have seen it seem to like the look of it. I was thinking maybe ill post up the progress I did for it, from the concept sketches, to test images and even alternatives, Basically the whole work stage. I know allot of you like seeing that stuff. I sure do. So if I get any request ill put it up. Having this chance now I want to take the chance now to thank Dj Mensa for providing me with some great mixes for the site. So for one of my new years resolutions I decided one a week at least I should do a post something here, so all those e-mails saying, “POST SOMETHING UP JAY21. NOW!!!” and “I WANT NEW ART JAY21″ ohh and not forgetting my personal favorite “I MISS YOUR ART JAY21 I CANT LIVE WITH OUT IT!!!” hahaha. I’m not saying I don’t like those e-mails (witch I do =p). I will be posting a little something from new upcoming works or a daily sketch (I know u love those), progress what ever! I will post!!! So please the people who been flowing me from work please leave me alone now…. hahaha. Ill leave you people for now. And ill be posting some more stuff up.
