Greetings every one!
welcome back to the jay21 show. ill be your host jay21. hahaha. well were to start, well i can now start talking about my new project. jay21 will be doing a video posd cast yes ladies and gents you heard it right Jay21 will be making a video podcast, Of what you ask, well it isn’t gonna be about my life thats for sure! haha well the podcast is going to called “illustrator feed 101″ still playing with the name but basically this podcast is going to be about u guessed it illustrator! basically one day i thought to my self how can i show more people what i do in lectures and demo. then hearing a podcast called “Leo Laporte’s macbreak weekly” that the idea hit my head. that i was like this is it! this is how i can show people. Easy portable and free! Free is good right kids!

Thinking about this and looking at a few podcasts that talk about illustrator and such i found them a lil boring and very dry. So i thought ok wait a min why don’t i add some cool visuals so people get it easier. so i was like y dont i make small animation for each episode to explain certain things like layers, what the pen to is and such. and also its also good cuz i can add those small clips to my keynote and demos. so a win win situation. So i found a great intern to help me with this so this is going to be fun. so i cam up with a character named iris (thanks nena for naming her) so i did a few templates so its easier to animate her. so this is her. let me know what u think. so ill end it here so ill keep u posted on it.

Hello everyone! how it goes? haha well im just posting up a spacial sketch today. My amazing great friend! mi amor nena. is been home sick in El Salvador! So i want to cheer her up a bit. so i decided i to do something for her. instead of one sketch she gets door number 1. behind door number 1 is 3 sketches! well shes one of the great regulars that read this blog and one my greatest friends i have! so here you go nena your prize! love yea! and miss yea a whole lot! =) well plz don’t be jealous if u write to me ill do a sketch for u as well

Hello everyone!
well it been a few weeks i know, but lots of good news! been very very busy, New job = less time for your self. anyways… lots of big things happening in mr Jay21 life. new projects meaning less time for him self … -_- so the deal line is creeping up behind me with this book. so i’m been pumping away character designs for this book showcasing my work. Lots of new great ideas coming out of this, the more i develop the more i want to experiment with new looks. simpler but detailed thats what my new look is kinda turing out. I have a big announcement that i will tell every one in a few weeks. many people would be very stunned about it but its under development so you’ll see soon what I’m talking about so for now I’m going to drop some sketches for you guys and gals to see what ive been doing. and i wonna know what you think. e-mail me and tell me your thoughts. feed back is always good. e-mail is jasonsaobento@aeiou.pt most of you know that.

I know its been a while a bit since i posted up a sketch of the day, just for those who are sketch hungry! These are some warm up sketches i made in 20 mins. i did a magatron sketch just a lil thing cuz of the movie! long live Magatron! haha he isnt my favorite transformer (Grimlock the killer t=rex if!). hahaha well enjoy.

just some sketching of some zombies, my best friend dan asked me to do some zombie so yea, i did a zombie of me and him(dan). nothing special few min sketches. All in marker. This is to force myself to draw better, no safety nets of under drawings. if u fuck up u fuck up. just makes you a better artist that way. The last few years I have seen my drawing ability get better by doing this and the quality of my line work is getting better. if you see just scribbles sorry this is my lose stuff. i like feeling the shapes. my fav style. not many like it.
